Registration is now open for the Emergency Services Mental Health Symposium on the 23rd and 24th of November at Silverstone Race Circuit.
As a follow up to the Symposium held in London last November by The Royal Foundation, this ‘one year on’ event is being hosted by an amazing collaboration of emergency service and first responder organisations, together with the charities that support them.
This year’s event, sponsored by Class Professional Publishing and Priority Dispatch, will be a unique opportunity to hear from practitioners, senior leaders, frontline staff and subject matter experts from a wide range of 999 services and organisations from all around the UK.
It will bring people together to learn from each other, showcase the progress that has been made since the inaugural event last year, and maximise the impact we can have on improving wellbeing within our own organisations.
The full agenda will be published closer to the date of the Symposium but will include a lived experience panel with members of three emergency services. There will be sessions on getting active, family support, managing fatigue and supporting new recruits and a Wellbeing Hub space for delegates. The Symposium is also hosting the Emergency Responders’ Seniors Leaders Board meeting, an update and next steps session will be delivered to the Symposium delegates by Martin Hewitt, Assistant Commissioner, Chair of the National Police Chiefs Council.
The Symposium is open to anyone working within the emergency services and responder organisations with an interest in wellbeing and mental health. Whether you are a first responder, frontline staff or volunteer, a senior leader or HR/People team member, or a wellbeing practitioner – this event is for you.
This event is free to attend. Delegate places are free of charge but are limited and so will be issued on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for registration is 31st October 2022.
Uniform is not required, please dress comfortably for an enjoyable two days.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on both days.
There is onsite accommodation available at Silverstone Race Circuit at the track side Hilton ‘Garden Inn’ Hotel. We have arranged a limited discounted rate for Symposium delegates at the Garden Inn, the link to this is available via the Bookings page. A wider range of other accommodation is also available close by. All accommodation and travel costs are the delegates’ responsibility.
Book your place here Non-College of Paramedics members will need to complete a short registration form before making a booking. You will receive an ‘order confirmation’ email confirming your booking.
