Overview

This half-day course has been developed to help police and staff supervisors and managers support their teams with wellbeing, resilience, trauma support, and referrals.

What does it cost?
There is no charge for this training for Home Office forces.
Who's it for?
The supervisor wellbeing course is open to supervisors across all areas of policing.
How will the session be run?
The course is currently delivered on Microsoft Teams.
What if I miss it?
Regular courses are available, subject to your force having adopted this training.

Overview

The supervisor wellbeing course is open to supervisors across all areas of policing, and is funded by The National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS) – so it is free for officers and staff in England and Wales.

Whether you lead a small team or a large department, this course will help you to support your staff and provide strategies to improve wellbeing.

Supervisor wellbeing training covers the following areas:  

  • Gain the confidence to assess your team's personal and organisational wellbeing.
  • Learn how to interpret assessment results, enabling you to identify critical areas requiring attention.
  • Learn to create targeted strategies and interventions to enhance your team's wellbeing and productivity.
  • Develop effective communication skills to engage with team members and foster an open dialogue around wellbeing.
