Giving a booklet is a great way to introduce families to policing and give them more information about the job and its challenges. Most importantly it lets them know what they can do to support their loved ones who have just joined the service and equally important the support that they can access too.
The booklet can be an online resource and it can also be printed so that it can be handed out at attestation events, recruitment events and family days.
This downloadable resource gives advice to individuals on what to expect when someone in their family joins the police.
